Description

A good quality, Antique, George III, Scottish Sterling Silver Punch or Toddy Ladle made by George Fenwick, Edinburgh and dating from c1815.
The ladle has a sterling silver bowl and finial with a baleen stem.
The underside of the bowl engraved with a nice family crest for the Clan Sinclair.
The ladle is hallmarked with the maker's mark "GF" for George Fenwick, the Scottish thistle silver mark, the Monarchs's Head duty mark, the Edinburgh castle town mark and date letter "j" for 1815/16.
It measures just under 6 1/2" inches (165mm) in length. It has a lovely, deep, circular bowl measuring 1 1/2" inches (42mm) in diameter.
The Ladle is in excellent condition.
