Description

A very nice, good quality, George IV, English Silver Snuff Box. The box was made in London and dates from c1825.
The lid of the box with a gold circular cartouche to the centre with a presentation inscription
"J Findlay from his friend R.L.".
It is hallmarked with the maker's mark "IJ" for John Jones III, the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark, and the date letter "k" for 1825/26.
The box has engine turned engraving to all sides.
The box measures approximately 75mm x 38mm x 20mm. The weight is 64.6g
It is in excellent overall condition.
