Description

A very good antique, English Sterling Silver Chamberstick complete with Snuffer made by Phillip Rundell of London and dating from c1822.
It is hallmarked on the underside of the base with the maker's mark "PR" for Phillip Rundell, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Monarch's Head duty mark, the Leopard's Head town mark for London and date letter "g" for 1822/23. The snuffer hallmarked with the Lion Passant and Monarch's Head, the remaining marks worn.
It measures approx. 5 3/4" inches (145mm) in diameter and 3" inches (75mm) in height.
It is in very good overall condition. There are a couple of minor indents to the snuffer. The crest on the chamberstick is quite worn. The snuffer also has a crest but not matching so possibly not original.
