Description

A good, antique Victorian Scottish Provincial Horn & Shell Snuff Box.
The lid of the box wit a silver plaque that is engraved with the former owners name "W Farquhar, Aberdeen, 27.4.96" (27 April 1896). The plaque most probably silver, but unmarked, therefore selling as white metal.
The box is in very good condition but does have some minor blemishes, there is a chip to one of the bottom corners and some slight hairline cracks to the lid just under the plaque. These minor imperfections aside, this is a really nice box. The hinge is good and the lid a very tight fit.
It is complete with a snuff spoon.
The box measures 87mm x 50mm x 22mm.
