Description

A very good quality English Silver Card Case made by Colen Hewer Cheshire, Birmingham and dating from c1875.
The case is hallmarked with the maker's mark "CC" for Colen Hewer Cheshire, the Monarch's Head duty mark (Queen Victoria), the Lion Passant Sterling Silver mark, the Birmingham town mark and date letter "a" for 1875/76.
The case has attractive engraving to both sides, the centre with a coronet on one side and the family crest to the reverse.
It is very good quality and in excellent condition.
It measures 100mm x 70mm x 10mm.
