A very nice, antique, Victorian 18CT Gold Gentleman's Pocket Watch made by Benjamin King, Glasgow and dating from c1880.
The watch with a good English Lever Fusee movement with power reserve indicator. The length of time the watch has ran indicated by the Up/Down subsidiary dial. The movement signed by the maker Benjamin King, Glasgow. It has the serial number 7046 to match the case, proving both are original and have been together since new. It is complete with dust cover.
The good quality English made 18CT gold case is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "HCD", the "crown" and "18" for 18 carat gold, the London town mark and date letter "E" for 1880/81.
The watch measures 48mm in diameter (across the case).
The weight is 100.1g.
