Description

A good quality, Antique, George III, Scottish Sterling Silver Soup Ladle made by Francis Howden, Edinburgh and dating from c1818.
The ladle is hallmarked with the maker's mark "FH" for Francis Howden, the Scottish thistle silver mark, the Monarchs's Head duty mark, the Edinburgh castle town mark and date letter "m" for 1818/19.
It measures just under 14" inches (355mm) in length. It has a lovely, deep, circular bowl measuring 3 3/4" inches (97mm) in diameter.
The weight is 168.7g/5.95oz/5.42ozt
The Ladle is in excellent condition.
