Lovely English SIlver Jewellery Box 1916

Description
A very nice, English Silver made in Birmingham and dating from c1916.This lovely box has been used as a jewellery box, the red lining to the lid probably later fitted. The pierced lid suggests it may have possibly been used for Potpourri.
It is hallmarked with the maker’s mark “S&Co" for George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, the anchor Birmingham town mark, the Lion Passant Silver Mark and the the date letter "r" for 1916/17
