Description

A very good quality Victorian 18K gold Gentleman's half Hunter Pocket watch made by Edwin W Streeter, 37 Conduit Street, London. The gold case is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "HB" (probably for Henry Buckland), the "crown" and "18" for 18 carat gold, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "U" for 1868/69. The plain gold case is free of engraved initials. The case has the serial number 32777.
The 3/4 plate, English Lever Fusee movement is signed by the maker "Edwin W Streeter, 37 Conduit Street, London". The movement has the serial number 32777 to match the case proving both are original and have been together since new.
The watch is key wind with the key provided.
The white enamel dial is in excellent condition. It is signed by the maker "E W Streeter, London".
