Mother of pearl Opera Glasses LeMaire of Paris

A very fine pair of late nineteenth century opera glasses made from Mother of Pearl and the original gilded brass made by the creme de la creme of makers, LeMaire of Paris. dating to c.1890
The makers mark (the Napoleonic Bee) is engraved on the underside of frame
Of course what really makes these lovely glasses is the quality and the condition of the gilding.

condition is excellent with just one small bruise to the eye piece see pictures otherwise no chips cracks or restoration
