Description

This attractive Edwardian floor standing bookcase is of long form and attributed to Waring & Gillows,
It has a rectangular top with reeded decoration to the front above a plain frieze and two central doors with brass lion mask ring handles, opening to reveal two fixed open shelves flanked by two open sections enclosing detachable open shelves, finished in a rich flame mahogany,
Terminating on splayed bracket feet.
In 1903 Lancaster firm Gillows merged with Warings of Liverpool to become Waring & Gillow.
