Description

A mid-century pine & oak archive cabinet, dating from the 1950s, originally built for workshop use. This tall, practical unit features a full rolling tambour front that lifts to reveal a run of wide, shallow trays, perfect for organising documents, textiles, plans or components.

Constructed in solid pine and oak throughout, the cabinet has a simple, utilitarian profile typical of mid-century archive and industrial storage. The trays run on early metal side runners, and the carcass sits on its castors, allowing the cabinet to be moved easily around a busy workspace.

The tambour is formed from narrow interlocking slats and slides smoothly into the body when opened. All trays are original and retain their characteristic cut-out handles and workshop wear.
