Description

A 1930s/ 1940s Singer industrial machinist’s stool, featuring a heavy cast iron base embossed “SINGER” to the feet, with a steel central column and adjustable back support. The seat and curved backrest are made from moulded plywood, a material increasingly used in the late 1930s and 1940s for its strength and flexibility.

The height-adjustable mechanism allows for comfortable use, while the sturdy cast base provides excellent stability. The stool retains its original worn industrial finish, showing the rich patina and character developed through decades of use.

Ideal for use in a studio, retail space, or stylish home interior.
