Huge Early Period Stone Font

Description
A most wonderful early stone, I suggest, church font.The piece, whilst being quite simple displays great charm.
It is a pretty huge piece and unbelievably heavy.
The underside of all parts show original hewn carving score marks.
The piece is in four sections. The large square base section shows a recent soil line, indication of the depth and angle to which it had sunk when I most recently sourced it from an estate sale in the grounds of a grand home.
I believe that the hole within the bowl has been drilled at a later date converting it from a font and into it's present day use as a planter.
From the same estate I am delighted to have several other significant quality pieces which I am offering for sale to include a wonderful huge pair of cast iron urns & further runs of urns & fonts.
