Description

This lovely silver lattice work pin dish was made by the Birmingham silversmiths Sanders & Mackenzie. Its hallmark shows it was assayed at Chester in 1913. Set into the base is a Royal Worcester ceramic roundel depicting fruit. It was painted by one of Worcester's best known artists, William Ricketts, and is signed by him. A window in the reverse reveals the Royal Worcester back stamp dated 1912. The dish measures 11cm in diameter and is in excellent condition.
