Description

Fine early small Chinese bronze statue of an immortal on a bespoke wood stand,c1700. The immortal is depicted with a toad on his shoulder so is most likely Liu Haichan or Liu Hai the God of wealth and prosperity. It is a fine quality casting with lovely detail to the features, robes and the toad. it is also heavy for its size at 0.3kg. The statue has taken on a beautiful colour/patina with the signs of rubbing/handling you would hope for in a very old bronze. There is a small area of Verdigris on the base, again as you would expect from an old piece. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact me if you would like to view the item or have any questions.
