Large mid 20th century African Benin tribal bronze statue of a standing figure carrying a staff, axe or sickle, c1940.This is an impressive example, well cast and very heavy at 5.2kg. It has great detail to the hat, features, clothing etc and is well decorated.
It is presented in good original condition and has aged well with good colour/patina.
