Description

An unusual antique 19th Century brass two-compartment tea caddy, c1850. This is a large, heavy and fine quality example, beautifully decorated with applied electrotypes of cupids and figures. The lid is decorated in high relief with a white metal (most likely silver) panel depicting a hunt.

Overall condition is good, with surface wear and some discolouration to the metal. Some of the electrotype panels are slightly loose - but all very much as you would expect from something 150 years old. It has a great decorative look. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact us with any questions.
