Description

Lovely early 19th century coaching cast iron strong box,c 1830. Complete with its original (working) lock and key it is marked 'R'for Regina (Queen)so would probably have been used by the Royal Mail early in Queen Victoria's reign (1819-1901).It has carrying handles to both sides and a handle on the lid.
