Description

Impressive green and gold painted Empire style pier glass and console table c.1930. 24" x 42½" mirror plate in a tall moulded frame with triangular pediment over a Classical urn with laurel leaf swags, flanked with ionic column pilasters. Over a small bow fronted console table, original white marble top with a shaped and moulded edge. Apron and tapering legs carved with details repeated from the mirror frame painted and gilded to match. Minor old wear, most obvious around the feet. Otherwise very good condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
