Description

Large polychrome painted plaster figure of a water carrier c.1920. A copy of the original 'Porteur D'eau Tunisien' by the French sculptor Marcel Debut (1865-1933). Standing 37" tall, depicting a young man in traditional Tunisian costume with a red hat, sash and slippers, carrying two water jars. On a 13½" x 10" base with the title Porteur D'eau on the front edge. Very good condition with original paintwork.
Dimensions: Width 16" Height 37" Depth 14".
