Description

Large Art Nouveau era bust by the French Sculptor Emmanuel Villanis (1858 - 1914) c.1900. Head and shoulders length bust of a young woman in a unusual crown or headdress and dressed in loose cloth head with a clasp at the shoulder. Beautifully cast in bronze with good original colour. Signed E. Villanis in the cast. Mounted on a superb marble plinth with moulded edges and gilded trim around the base. Excellent condition.
