Description

Superb Art Nouveau marble bust of a young woman c.1900. Beautifully carved bust, the form simplified to striking effect by hooded cloak fastened tight below the chin. With a lily flower at her breast, traditionally a symbol of innocence and purity. On a slim black marble base of conforming shape. Signed G. Garnier on the rear of the bust. Excellent original condition.
