Description

Good quality replica English civil war suit of armour. Of a type worn by infantry pikemen featuring helmet, chest and back plates and hinged tassets to cover the thighs. Together with a cotton smock, thick leather doublet and a short sword on a leather sash with brass buckles. Well made in steel with rolled edges, distinctive ‘peascod’ shape to the breastplate and decorative detail to the helmet and tassets. Obviously made to be worn and easily adjustable, the various sections are linked with strong metal catches and good leather connecting straps, there is a padded lining to the helmet. Very good condition, presented on a simple metal stand.
