Description

Large French portrait of a gentleman painted in oil on canvas and dated 1917. Three quarter length portrait of a prosperous looking gent in a three piece suit with gold watch chain and blue silk tie. Sporting a splendid handlebar moustache and stood, rather unusually, with his hands in his pockets. Clearly signed and inscribed in the lower right hand corner ‘Manfred Vaccary, 5me 17 (Loire). Excellent condition, presented unframed on the original stretcher.
