Large mid 20th.c. French tapestry panel mounted on a wooden stretcher c.1970. 6’6″ wide handwoven woolwork tapestry scene of a large castle viewed through woodland. With flowering plants in the foreground and several colourful birds amongst the foliage. With a broad floral pattern border. Good condition, presented on a wooden stretcher. Sold with the original receipt from La Maison Basque in the Northern French town of Arras dated 1972.
