Description

Purchased locally, this charming mid 20th.c. carved oak figure of a gentleman c.1950. Full length figure, standing 24″ tall, dressed in a long coat and hat and walking with a stick – rather reminiscent the Welsh farmers and shepherds found in the paintings of Kyffin Williams. Great observation and a lovely texture to the surface. Artist unknown but with an AW monogram on the underside. With an old repair and a small missing piece where the hand meets the sleeve, otherwise very good original condition.
Dimensions: height 24″, width 10″, depth 7″.
