Description

Quality mid 19th.c. mahogany writing box c.1850. Well figured mahogany with inlaid brass plaque, corners, bindings and escutcheon plate. Opens to form a writing slope with a tooled leather skiver, ink stand and pen rack. The slope opens on both sides to reveal storage below for stationery, envelopes etc. Excellent condition.
Dimensions: Mahogany – width 20″, depth 10″, height 6″.
