Description

Remarkable set of four late 18th.c. apothecary bottles c.1790. Fabulous large onion form bottles with slight variations due to their hand blown manufacture, in dark olive green glass. Retaining the original labels in black lettering on gold ground. One is partially missing but the others are labelled for Tincture of Aloes, Tincture of Calumba and Spirit of Lavender. Condition is excellent.
Dimensions largest bottle – diameter 10″, height 13″.
