Description

Remarkable pair of six foot tall cast iron torchéres or candelabra. 13" diameter tops with a raised lip and central spike to take a large (max diameter 10") candle. Of Classical tazza form with reeded edges and stems on tapering reeded columns. Three sided plinths cast with acanthus detail, the heads of Christ and Mary (both with halos) and the immaculate or flaming heart symbols with cross and dagger. Raised on tripod acanthus feet. Excellent condition.
