Description

George III oak six drawer dresser base or sideboard c.1790. Just 28½" tall, quite a bit lower than most dresser bases, ideal as a base for a large TV perhaps. Oak plank top with an applied moulding to the underside. Over six large drawers with oak drawer fronts with moulded edges and retaining the original Georgian brass handles and escutcheons. Ash drawer linings. Chamfered 'slap on' panels at the sides, a deep moulded trim around the base and unusual (and original) shaped detail to the feet. Some old marks and repairs to the top. Otherwise excellent condition and lovely colour. Restored cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
