Description

Rare George III three drawer dresser base in elm c.1800. Single plank top with lovely pronounced grain and an applied edge moulding to the underside. Over three drawers with scratch carved moulded edges and later 19th.c. turned hardwood knobs with mother of pearl centres. Straight apron with a simple ogee moulding. Raised on tapering square legs. Elm side panels and elm drawer sides. Patch repairs the rear corners of the top and old woodworm holes (checked and treated) which is typical for antique elm furniture. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
