Description

Very smart marble top sideboard by the Paris maker Georges Guerin c.1910. White marble top with grey figuring, breakfronted and with rounded ends. Over two drawers and a two door cupboard fitted with a single shelf inside (internal depth 13"). Highly figured burr elm veneers laid in striking symmetrical pattern across the front and sides. With unusual neo-Classical decoration to the front featuring marble column pilasters with gilded mounts top and bottom flanking a marquetry inlaid vase detail to the doors. Original gilded handles, floral mounts and mouldings. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
