Description

Delightful mid 19th.c. rocking chair in ash and birch c.1860. High backrest with a curved and shaped top supported on turned stiles over two rows of long turned ash spindles. Low arms also on turned supports. Single piece saddle seat in birch, raised on turned legs with turned H stretchers. The rockers would appear to be later replacements. Very good condition retaining the original pained finish attractively worn through in places. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
