Description

Good sized landscape painting in oil on canvas by the Belgian artist George D'Heedene (1909-1973) c.1960. A pastoral landscape with cows grazing the meadows beside a broad river, with tall trees in the dark green of late summer and a pale blue sky with light clouds. Very confidently painted in Impressionist style with bushes and pallet knife. With a large signature in the lower right hand corner. In a good gilded wooden frame with moulded decoration. Very good condition.
