Description

Painted terracotta bust of a woman by the Belgian sculptor Gustave Van Vaerenbergh (1873-1927) c.1920. Head and shoulders length bust of a young woman in the Classical tradition, wearing a laurel leaf crown and a with Greek lyre and laurel spring crossed at her chest. Moulded in terracotta with a bronze painted finish. Signed and numbered at the rear. Excellent condition.
