Description

Superb quality late 19th.c. carved Chinese marble top urn stand or side table c.1880. Square top with 11¼" square pink marble insert and bead carved edge. Superb hardwood stand (zitan or hongmu timber) with crisply carved and pierced floral frieze to each side and the tops of the legs carved with fierce dragon's heads at the corners. Useful second shelf forming a stretcher for the legs. Further floral carved detail to the legs terminating in carved ball and claw feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
