George Bickerton, Kidderminster, 1839
Silver pair cases, 58 mm
Verge movement

MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, with engraved and pierced balance cock, blued screws and Boseley type regulator. Signed (G. Bickerton, Kidderminster) and numbered (5599). Four round pillars. Excellent, clean condition and running.

DIAL : Cream enamel dial in fine condition, with no repairs and just one tiny flake at the centre.

INNER CASE : Silver hallmarks for Birmingham, 1839 maker's mark JW. The silver is in good condition. The hinge is fine and the bezel snaps shut. The crystal has no chips but a short scratch to the centre.

OUTER CASE : Heavy silver pair case with matching hallmarks to the inner.
In good condition, though with a repair to the bottom of the inside, which just shows though to the outside.

George Bickerton is listed as working in Kidderminster between 1828 and 1850.
