Silver pair cases, 58 mm
Verge movement


MOVEMENT : Gilt verge movement, with engraved and pierced balance cock, blued screws and silver regulator disk (Tompion type). Signed (Thos. Maston, LONDON) and numbered (5557). Four round pillars. Excellent, clean condition and running.

DIAL : White enamel dial in fine condition, with no repairs or damage.
Nice matching gilt elongated spade hands.

INNER CASE : Silver hallmarks for Birmingham, 1835, maker's mark VR. The silver is in excellent condition. The hinge is fine and the bezel snaps shut. The high dome, bull's eye, crystal is also fine.

OUTER CASE : Heavy silver pair case but with no hallmarks or maker's mark
Again in excellent condition. The catch is fine and the bezel snaps shut correctly.
Although unmarked, the case is a perfect fit to the inner and there is no reason to believe that it is not original.
