Gilt & shell pair cases, 54.5 mm
Verge movement

MOVEMENT : Gilded verge movement, signed and numbered (582) with pierced and engraved balance cock. Clean, good condition, original and running well.

DIAL : White enamel, in very fine condition, with just some very light surface scratches. No repairs.

INNER CASE : Maker's mark JB. Gilt/brass, in good condition. with some wear to the gilding on the pendant and bow but no damage or repairs. The hinge is fine and the case snaps shut. High dome bull's eye crystal in good condition.

OUTER CASE : Same maker's mark as inner. Gilt/brass with shell or horn covering. Good colour and in very good overall condition with no restoration. The back has one short section missing at the neck (1cm) and a crack from this section about 2cm long. About 25% of pins missing. The bezel has just one small chip, with about 20% of pins missing. The hinge and catch are fine and the case closes nicely.
