Verge movement

MOVEMENT Gilt verge movement, with beautifully engraved and pierced balance cock and engraved plate. Signed and numbered (119). Four round pillars. In very good condition and running well.

DIAL White enamel dial in good condition, with some light scratches, and small flakes on the edge between 1 and 2. Nice gold hands, with repair to the base of the hour hand.

INNER CASE Silver hallmarks for London, 1799, maker's mark NTW. In very good condition throughout. The high dome bull's eye crystal and hinge are fine and the bezel closes well.

OUTER CASE Silver pair case with matching hallmarks to the inner. There are some very light bruises to the back, but otherwise very good. The hinge and catch are fine and the bezel snaps shut correctly.

Henry Coulson is listed in Penzance, Cornwall between 1772 and 1834.

The outer case has an old watchpaper from Arthur, Watch Manufacturer, of Penzance.
