A fine quality, heavy, early Liverpool rack lever watch.

MOVEMENT Rack lever movement, fully signed and dated (1837). Liverpool jewelling, diamond endstone, blued screws, 5 spoke wheels and stop/start lever. All in good original condition and running well. The movement is protected by a removable gilt dustcap.

DIAL Cream enamel, in perfect condition.

CASE Silver. Hallmarks for Chester, 1837, maker TC. Gold hinges, the back one a little worn. Milled around the band and plain back. A little wear around the band but in very good overall condition. The crystal has light scratches.
