Description

An early French verge with a wonderful verge movement.

MOVEMENT Fully signed 'Cls. Le Roy  A Paris'.  Verge movement.  Gilded plates with silver engraved rim to the top plate and silvered pillars.  Large silver regulator disc and silver balance cock with pink coloured endstone.  This beautiful movement is in perfect condition and is running well.

DIAL   White enamel.  Small chips around the winding aperture and damage on the edge around 6.  No hairlines.  Nice matching gold coloured hands.  This is a very early enamel dial which I believe is original to the movement.

CASE No hallmarks.  The case is in excellent condition with just some wear to the pendant.  The hinges are fine and the case snaps shut nicely.  The high dome crystal is perfect.
