Here we have a rare Victorian Oak tea caddy in the form of a coal scuttle dated 1889. As you can see the Oak and brass have lovely colour and patina. There is a beautiful brass handle to the top and strapwork hinges to the front. There is a Gothic type back plate and raised knob to open the main compartment. There is an Rd number on the underside for 1889. It is a perfect miniature of a Victorian coal scuttle of the period. A rare collectors piece in great retail condition. The dimensions are approx 19 cm long 14 cm deep 15 cm high.
