Here we have a very rare 18th century Zanzibar marriage chest c1740. As you can see the colour and patina is exceptional. There is decorative studwork to the top sides and rear. The front is particularly special with peacocks which is symbolism for good luck and majesty. There are three drawers with large chunky dovetails and a metal locking mechanism from the inside. A super early chest in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 50 cm wide 35 cm deep 28 cm high.
