Here we have a rare surviving George III Mahogany side hall lamp or work table c1790. As you can see the table has great colour and patina. This very fine table has a beautiful top with cantered corners. There is a Satinwood band to the edge with Ebony string and fine Boxwood string to the outer edge. The top opens to reveal a vacant space which has been beautifully lined. The sides of the top are finished all round with cross banded Satinwood and string detail. These tables always suffer breakages in the legs as they are so stunningly elegant and fine. Remarkably this table has spent its life unscathed and therefore the squared and tapered legs with Boxwood stringing remain intact. A table of the finest quality in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 48 cm wide 34 cm deep 73 cm high.
