Here we have a wonderful rare Norfolk/Suffolk George III Oak chest of drawers c1800. As you can see the chest has great colour and patina. This fantastic chest is certainly from the Norfolk/Suffolk area and was obtained from a farmhouse in Beccles. We have no reason to believe that it has ever been out of the families ownership from the day it was made. It is typical of a chest from this region having a caddy top with line inlay. The drawers also have an Ebony line surround and retain the original Rosewood handles and brass escutcheons. There are typical bracket feet and a shaped frieze between with inlaid cartouche. A super chest of lovely proportions being only 90 cm wide 106 cm high and 48 deep in great retail condition ready for your home.
