Here we have a wonderful James II Oak table side hall lamp lowboy c1690. As you can see the table has great colour and patina. There is a two plank top with lovely grain and colour. The top has a thumb moulded edge and is of course pegged to the base. There is a single drawer with what appear to be original brass knobs. There is geometric moulding to the drawer front. The drawer is of simple nailed construction with a two plank base with grain running front to back. The legs are beautifully turned and joined by an all round stretcher and retaining the original feet. The table is of pegged mortice and tenon construction with pegs raised from the surface. As you can see in the photos the pegs go through to the underside of the table. The underneath of the top is dry and crusty as it should be with patination from hands only on the outside areas. A super example in great reatil condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 74 cm wide 67 cm high 53 cm deep.
