Very nice French Victorian gilt Cartel clock of large and heavy proportions with a very good 8 day movement by Robin of Paris which has just been cleaned and oiled, strikes on a bell hours and half hours, the enamel dial on copper is very clean, as is the heavilly carved case which has two ho ho birds on a cartouche fretted cage below the dial, and, above the dial is a child reading a book and topped with a sectioned C scroll all in gilt.A very impressive clock and exceptionally heavy. delivery can be arranged. Keeps great time.
