Description

A very large 1950's carpet made by John Crossley Halifax, West Yorkshire.
The label reads, John Crossley Halifax, Florence 80% wool, 20% nylon, Patt 47725, permanently mothproofed.
This carpet is stunning, in colour and design,
19' 9" long 15' wide plus 10" fire place returns.
All in very good condition, no holes, or marks / burns. slightly faded in areas with very little wear, as was in the parlour.
Where this room was only used on high days and holidays.

The carpet is what's known as a Narrow weave 44" wide, hand stitched together, 90% pattern matched, hemmed and has has metal rings stitched to the back. ( long before carpet grip a rod. )

This carpet could be refitted in a smaller room,
